Below you can find out more about the delivery of your plants from our online garden centre to your door. We’re based in the Herefordshire countryside and deliver across Mainland England, Central Scotland and Wales through our courier DX.

 General Delivery Information

When you order your plants online and spend £60 or more, you will receive FREE delivery and your order will be delivered to you within 7 working days – probably faster depending, which day of the week you place your order (see below for DX timings).

• We deliver to Mainland England, Central Scotland (AB10 – AB36, AB39, DD, EH1-EH55, FK1-FK18, G, KA1-KA26, KA29 & KA30, KY, ML, PA1-PA19, PH1-PH14) and Wales through the courier DX. We only deliver to places where we know our couriers can reach within a day or two, so that we ensure fresh plants are delivered. Unfortunately this means that we do not currently deliver to Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland or any offshore Islands.
• We are NOT able to deliver to (AB35-AB38, AB54-AB56, FK18-FK21, IV1-IV63, KW1-KW14, PA21-PA38, PA80, PH17-PH26, PH30-PH41, PH49 & PH50)
• Orders of £60 or over, qualify for FREE delivery. Orders under £60 will incur a £6.99 delivery charge.
• Orders will be delivered within 7 working days.

When will I receive my plants ?

We process and lift plants from our nursery beds twice a week (on Mondays and Wednesdays).

All orders placed up to and before 6am on a Monday, will leave us Tuesday by DX, for delivery on Wednesdays (sometimes a little later).

All orders placed up to and before 6am on a Wednesday, will leave us Thursday by DX, for delivery on Fridays (occasionally on the Monday).

Orders placed after 6am on Wednesdays, and before 6am on a Monday will leave us on a Tuesday by DX, for delivery Wednesday (during busy periods this might be an extra day).

PLEASE NOTE: *DX aim for next working day delivery, but as this is not a guaranteed ‘Next day’ service, delivery times can sometimes vary. Please be assured we carefully pack all plants to travel safely and will always help if you have any concerns. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via email, phone or our web chat.

Where can I find my order confirmation ?

An order confirmation will be sent to you at the point of completing your order via our website checkout. Sometimes order confirmation emails can end up in your spam or junk folder, so it’s worth having a quick look there, just in case!

Where can I find my Tracking info ?

Your tracking information will be emailed directly from DX. Once your plants leave our nursery, all snug and safely boxed up, they’ll be scanned on arrival at our local DX depot. Dx will then send you an email with tracking details, using the same email address you gave us on your order. (NB. your DX tracking email may say ‘Allensmore Nurseries Ltd’ on it as Golden Valley Plants is the same nursery as Allensmore Nurseries). DX normally give a timed delivery window, available on the morning of delivery. 99% of orders arrive the day after leaving our nursery, so your plants reach you fresh and happy! Can I delay my delivery ?

No problem. Just write in the order notes section when you would like to receive it and we will work it around our DX collection days.

Can my item be delivered to a safe place?

We us DX’s Leave Safe service. DX will attempt to leave your parcel in a dry non-exposed area, at the delivery address, if no one is available to receive it. If you would like to specify a pre-agreed safe location, please add this information to the ‘order notes’ box when you are at our website checkout page and we will pass it on to our courier.

Can I collect my plants in person ?

Local to us, or even further afield? You’re welcome to collect your plants in person during the times below. Just a quick note — we’re a busy working nursery, not a garden centre, so browsing is online only. Simply select ‘Collection from HR2’ at checkout and let us know in the ‘order notes’ box which collection time below suits you best. Our click n collect option works over postcodes in Herefordshire, West Midlands and parts of South Wales BUT we are happy to extend this UK wide, so please get in touch if you are based outside of this area and wish to collect your plants in person.
