Introducing: The Perfect Roses Collection

Roses are red, violets are blue; to win your affection, we have launched our Perfect Roses Collection! We are not known for our poetry but we are known for growing perennial plants and have been for over 50 years at our nursery in Herefordshire, this year we have decided to launch our Perfect Roses Collection.

Establishing production has been a fascinating journey led by our award-winning parent company Allensmore Nurseries who have used their experience to develop what we hope you’ll agree is a stunning collection.

Based in Herefordshire, we are fortunate to have access to some of the best fertile land in the country, thanks to a long farming history in the area. This land with its red clay soil (which we have trialled using over the last 3-4 years) has enabled us to cultivate a collection of British roses we know our customers will love. It has been a humbling journey as there have been new skills to learn and develop and new people to recruit – but what an adventure! We’ve invested, watched in earnest the first shoots of new spring growth and delighted in the incredible summer colours. It has truly been a journey that everyone is proud of, a labour of love across the company that we are now so excited to share.

We have worked with the best breeders to develop strong disease-resistant roses for specific purposes such as perfume, taste, ground cover, and various flowering habits such as dense floribunda-style tea roses or open-faced roses that are suitable for bees. We know how much this all matters to ensure we select the most healthy, fragrant plants that will best be suited to the gardens, patios and terraces of today’s gardeners.

We can confidently say that our roses are easy to care for, ideal for the garden and grown in the UK. We are even going a step further and following trials, we have committed to growing our rose crop completely peat-free.
