Like all Osteospermum, Purple Suns are suited to well drained soil, avoid the winter wet and protect plants in very cold areas. To stimulate branching and growth into a bushier plant, pinch out the growing tip of each stem. Mix light application of a balanced organic fertiliser into the soil prior to planting. In summer, drench plants every two weeks with a liquid fertiliser.
