Brunnera Veriegata is a hardy perennial known for its hairy, soft, heart-shaped leaves which are splashed with cream-white at the edges with vivid green in the centre. It also flowers in small blue clumps in spring, which provide a splash of colour to compliment the unusual foliage. The leaves are large enough to provide excellent ground cover too, making this plant great for beds and borders.
Brunnera’s are best grown in fertile soil that is well drained but kept moist, and should be planted in partial shade for the best results. It should also be planted in a sheltered position. Overall, this plant is low maintenance, as long as its soil remains moist but not waterlogged.
