If growing in a container, keep well watered. If in a really cold area of the UK, protect roots by mulching with straw or a thick layer of compost. Don’t cut the plant back for the winter, as any dead growth will help to protect the plant from a cold winter. In early Spring, cut down to the ground so that fresh growth can be produced for that season.
