Planting Conditions

When planting your Perennial Hot Shades Collection, we suggest selecting a sunny location with well-drained soil for optimal growth. Ensure adequate spacing between plants to allow for proper air circulation and to prevent overcrowding. When planting individual species from the collection, dig a hole twice as wide as the plant's root ball and at a depth equal to the height of the root ball. Gently place the plant in the hole, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. We recommend following the specific planting instructions for each species to ensure they thrive in their new environment.

Watering & Feeding

We recommend watering your Perennial Hot Shades Collection regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide a deep watering session rather than frequent shallow watering to encourage deep root growth. Consider mulching around the plants to help retain soil moisture and suppress weed growth. As for feeding, apply a balanced fertiliser according to the individual needs of each plant species in the collection. Avoid over-fertilising, as this can lead to excessive foliage growth at the expense of flowering.

General Care

Maintaining your Perennial Hot Shades Collection requires regular care and occasional pruning to keep the plants healthy and vibrant. Monitor for pests and diseases, addressing any issues promptly. We recommend deadheading any spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming and remove any dead or damaged foliage as needed. Some plants may benefit from light pruning to maintain their shape and vigour. Additionally, be attentive to the specific care requirements of each species in the collection, as individual plants may have unique needs for their growth and performance.
