Planting Conditions

Erigeron 'Lavender Lady' thrives in full sun to partial shade. It prefers well-drained soil but can tolerate a range of soil types, including sandy or rocky soil. Ensure good air circulation around the plant by providing sufficient spacing when planting. It is suitable for coastal gardens and regions with limited rainfall, as it has some drought tolerance once established. Plant Erigeron 'Lavender Lady' in Spring or Autumn when the soil is workable, and temperatures are mild. Water the plant deeply after planting and regularly afterwards to keep the soil slightly moist.

Watering & Feeding

Erigeron prefers regular watering to maintain slightly moist soil. Water deeply when the top inch of soil feels dry, especially during hot and dry periods. Avoid over-watering, as this can lead to root rot. Applying a layer of organic mulch around the plant helps retain moisture, suppresses weeds, and regulates soil temperature. 'Lavender Lady' generally does not require feeding, but a light application of a balanced fertiliser in early Spring can promote healthy growth and enhance blooming.

General Care

Deadhead spent flowers of Erigeron to encourage continuous blooming and maintain a tidy appearance. Prune back the plant in late Winter or early Spring to remove any dead or damaged foliage. Monitor for pests or diseases such as aphids or powdery mildew, and take appropriate measures if needed. 'Lavender Lady' is a relatively low-maintenance plant and generally does not require extensive care. Enjoy its charming blooms and airy foliage while bringing a touch of coastal paradise to your garden. Sit back, relax, and let Erigeron whisk you away to a seaside retreat.
