They have an open habit, allowing the small star shaped flowers to dance in the breeze and will flower from June right the way through Autumn. They will also grow well in a pot, or in a bed or border where they will provide excellent ground cover.

Gaura grow well in a sunny or partially shaded position. Their soil needs to be moist but not waterlogged, so good drainage is essential. Water well to establish, then once established the plant will be relatively low maintenance. Darker spots on the leaves are just spots of colour pigmentation and are perfectly normal to see.
