Helichrysum should be grown in moderately fertile, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. It will tolerate dry conditions much better than wet ones. Mulch upon planting and water regularly until established. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser from spring to promote healthy growth, and protect from excessive winter wet and cold dry winds. After flowering trim as required to maintain shape to ensure future impressive displays.
