Heuchera are very hardy, this means you can plant them at any time of the year – even in the middle of winter! Heuchera need a moderate amount of sunlight for their fabulous leaf colours to develop properly. However light green, yellow and silver Heuchera may get scorched in the summer sun, and are better suited to partial shade. Feed every 3 to 4 weeks during the growing season, and remove any flowers that have gone over. Also snip off any foliage that is looking scruffy. Heuchera are evergreen plants, but will need a good tidy up just before spring to allow lots of fresh new growth to come through.
Heuchera Wild Rose (Coral Bells)
This easily distinguishable Heuchera stands out with its large leaves and bright, uniquely coloured foliage. ‘Wild Rose’ forms a dense habit of large, bright rosy purple leaves with prominent deep charcoal veining. It also bears upright, dark burgundy rose flowers with dark buds that open to rosy pink flowers. Lovely in containers, particularly pots. Also looks wonderful in borders.
