Plant Lupins in full sun to partial shade, in moist but well-drained soil. Make sure you protect young plants from slugs and snails. Feed regularly throughout the growing season and remove flower spikes as soon as they look tired otherwise they will go to seed and the plant will stop flowering. Once the plant has finished flowering, usually around late May / early June, cut the plant back to a few inches and you will usually get a second flush later in the year . Avoid planting in containers, will perform much better in the ground.
