Icelandic Poppies like plenty of sunshine in cooler climates, but in warmer conditions they will prefer partial shade. They grow well in most light, well-drained soils and until established they require watering on a weekly basis or when the first 1 to 2 inches of soil becomes dry. Remove dead flowers stems to prolong flowering.
