Primula Primlets are bright and cheerful and ideal for a late winter / early spring container or border. They can be planted in sun or dappled shade in soil which is damp and not prone to drying out, but well drained.  Primlets benefit from a mulch of organic matter or leaf mould. They are tough plants and will do well in most spots as long as it is not too dry or exposed to hot sun. Sometimes the leaves on them can get a bit discoloured and brown at the edges and removing these will do no harm. Also dead heading will help to keep the plant flowering.
