Primula denticulata are bright and cheerful and ideal for a spring border. They are best planted in dappled shade in soil which is damp and not prone to drying out.  Primulas are woodland plants, enjoying a position in semi-shade, and benefit from a mulch of organic matter or leaf mould. They are tough plants and will do well in most spots as long as it is not too dry or exposed to hot sun. Dead heading will help to keep the plant flowering.
