Planting Conditions
Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Midget' thrives in well-drained soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. It prefers full sun to partial shade, making it versatile for various garden locations. Ideal planting spots include sheltered areas that offer protection from harsh winds and extreme temperatures. We recommend ensuring the soil is rich in organic matter to support healthy growth. When planting, dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant at the same depth it was in the pot, and water thoroughly to settle the soil.
Watering & Feeding
To care for Pittosporum 'Midget', water regularly to establish a strong root system, especially during dry periods. Once established, it is relatively drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional watering during prolonged dry spells. Avoid waterlogging, as it prefers well-drained soil. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in early Spring to support vigorous growth and maintain foliage health.
