Viburnum will grow well in full sun or partial shade in any moist, but well-drained soil. Water well and regularly for the first few months after planting, especially in warm weather. In spring feed with a balanced slow-release fertiliser. Prune after flowering but avoid any new shoots if your area is prone to frost. Remove any crossing, damaged or crowded branched on mature Viburnum.
