Salvias, which welcome wildlife into the garden all summer long, are one of most popular perennials in the UK. ‘Mirage Blue’ has vibrant blue flower spikes, held above the dark green foliage. Cut back this great garden performer when the flowers start to fade and it will reward you with another flush of flowers later in the season.

Description
Salvia are easy to care for and require very little maintenance. For best results they prefer a sunny, sheltered spot and a moist, but well-drained soil. Salvia are fairly drought tolerant, but they will require more regular watering until established. Mulch annually with well-rotted manure, or garden compost. Remove faded flower spikes to encourage repeat flowering and cut back in the autumn after flowering has finished.
